Illegal wood soon excluded from EU markets
23. April 2009
Despite the fact that over 3500 ha of forest were clear-cut yesterday it was still a good day for the worlds forests:

The EU took next step toward banning imports of illegally harvested timber into the EU Markets.

This development is welcomed by Tracer !
Not only is this good news for the forests it is also good news for anybody who for a long time have been working with timber products already living up to the demands the EU are putting forward now.
We are looking forward to any initiatives from the EU which will not only ban illegal timber, but also preserve the forest for future generations, hence Traceable Certified Forest Products.
